Ah man, that comes from color-coding! Gabriel and Bob s Monstertalk in green, Jaune s signature chewing gum in twisted-pink and this dark red blood color. I have those colors on an extra digital palette ... and sort of regret them in this page. especially the pink and the red - soooort of change the feeling of the page.
Those lower panels were a nightmare in post. In spite of my geometric style i am very bad at symmetry and i did not sketch the bottom movement, just the figures. When inking i decided i want a symmetrical appearance to keep the redability. i could have folded a paper in half, sketched the basic shape and cut it, folding open - voila, symmetrie. well. now I had this idea. I did not back then. I drew one side and mirrored it digitally - there are fragments and left overs everywhere... And you know what - i don t mind that much. i even like how it looks on this page of chaos.
Oh yeah. and Bob is finally back. After I had the script for this chapter lying around and read through the whole thing, i realized that i forgot Bob for some chapters. Gabriel does think all this, but she did not express it. Its never a good sign if you can write out characters. Weeell, he does serve an important point later in the story, but he s mainly a symbol for the fading good intentions and good sides of Gabriel s delusions. So making him appear less and less is an important point. But i cant leave him out. it is important to show, that Gabriel can be influenced by him or has a really bad feeling if not listening to him / her doubts. And being around people like Barbera should make all the warning signals go up non stop...
