I do feel a bit guilty about this page. I am telling a story about at least one monster though. It differentiates her from some of the other characters. Barbera is truly horrible. I debate this with myself more and more: how much horror do you need to show to make a point? Then - this comic is an outlet for me and i am deeply fascinated by characters like them. I used to be much more careless and ... edgy... about this stuff. but ... being responsible for other human beings has shifted my perspective a bit.
But then... this is still comic (the medium) violence. And who is worse - Barbera or the lady pointing barbera at people and setting her off? Or gabriel, who defines her own set of rules that she cannot trustfully interprete or Jaune, who... well. were to begin with Jaune.
